I try to occasionally check the website statistics and see what questions brought people to www.MyOldDesignjet.com. Then I find so many more questions and feel like I should answer them ASAP because I know how frustrating it can be to have a machine that is behaving badly!

- How to convert a pdf to print on a designjet 600 - You don't need to "convert" a PDF. Some PDF's are so large that you may need to use the computer memory to run your drawing and not the limited memory that's on your Designjet 600. To do this choose: PRINT>PROPERTIES>ADVANCED>PROCESS DOCUMENT>IN COMPUTER

- Can HP Designjet plotter model 450c run in Windows 7 - Yes, the drivers are in Win 7, if not click on the WINDOWS UPDATE (next to HAVE DISK) and wait up to 20 minutes for Windows to present a new list of Designjets to you. Nothing will happen until the list appears...no hourglass in the middle of the screen and no other clue that it is uploading the update.
- WHAT IS A BAIL ON A PLOTTER - The bail is the large black bar that lifts when the paper is loading and holds the paper against the roll.
- Ink spill from spittoon - EASY - Don't EVER lie a plotter on it's back. If you do the spittoon that has 20 years of ink in it will overflow and ink will be everywhere inside your machine. You'll then have to take the covers off and spend about 4 hours cleaning up. YUK!
