This is Brian. Brian lives in Greenville South Carolina. He called looking for help this week. A friend gave him my phone number and said, "Maybe the Plotter Princess can help you."

Brian has a Designjet 450C and was having problems getting it to print.

I was asking my normal questions and thinking I should be able to help him when I asked what kind of operating system he has...

That's when Brian said, "DOS." and I spit out my coffee.

I said, " Dude, I can't help you! I know nothing about DOS! What the hell! Do you also have no cell phone?"

He said, "Better than that, I have no internet.'

"And I probably have the oldest computer you've ever seen!"

I explained that I'd need pictures and he'd have to have his friend who DOES have internet send them to me.

The purpose? There must be more of you out there. If you, too, use DOS to run your plotter we will start and online forum for you on this website. Honest!

I was soooo tickled to receive this photo from the graphics people at Rockpoint Church in Lake Elmo MN. This is from a Designjet 500 which those nice people at HP no longer support due to its advanced age! For a 12+ year old plotter it still kicks out a lovely product!

Their design features names that Jesus was called throughout the Bible – a perfect choice for Easter. It was printed in panels up to 8 feet tall. The graphic watercolor background was designed in Adobe Illustrator, vectorized, and sent to the printer as a bitmap to optimize the printers memory capacity.

Thanks for sharing! Let's see your projects. Email them to slapakko@gmail.com
