Configuring TCP/IP on the HP Designjet 600, 650, 700, 750, 755, and CP series printers - Install your Designjet on your network

NOTE: A delay of approximately 30 seconds may be expected between each step.

1. From the front control panel message, Ready or Ready to Plot, press ENTER
2. Press the Up arrow key until I/O Setup appears, and then press ENTER.
4. Press the Up arrow key until Modular appears, and then press ENTER.
   
5. From the front control panel message, Cfg Network=No, press ENTER.
   
6. Press the Up arrow key to change to Yes, and then press ENTER.
   
7. Using the Arrow keys, scroll to Cfg TCP/IP=No appears, and then press ENTER.
   
8. Scroll to Yes, and press ENTER.
   
9. Press the Up arrow key until BootP=Yes appears, and press ENTER.
   
10. Press the Up arrow key to change to No. Press ENTER (When using BootP or DHCP, keep the setting BOOTP = YES *. The BootP or DHCP server will configure the TCP/IP parameters on the HP Jetdirect. No other TCP/IP configuring is necessary.
    
11. Press the UP arrow once to get to the IP byte section.
    
12. To change the IP byte, proceed as follows:
    
    1. Press ENTER.
       
    2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to change the number.
       
    3. Press ENTER.
       
    4. Press the Up key to continue to IP Byte2=xxx.
       
    5. Press ENTER.
       
13. Configure the remaining bytes of the IP address in the same manner. A valid IP address is required for proper operation.
    
14. Configure the subnet mask bytes (SM), syslog server IP address (LG), default gateway (GW), and timeout (TIMEOUT) by pressing the ENTER and the Up or Down arrows in the same manner as above. The timeout parameter default is 90 seconds. Up to 3,600 seconds can be configured. If set to zero, the timeout feature of the HP Jetdirect print server is disabled; TCP/IP connections will remain open until closed by the server.
    
15. Press PREVIOUS repeatedly, until the Ready to Plot or Ready message appears. Refer to the HP Jetdirect Network Interface Configuration Guide to configure the network operating system.
    
16. Press the Up and Down arrow keys simultaneously to save the IP address on a 750/755 plotter. (A page should print and the IP addresses will be saved.)

To print a Service Configuration page from an HP Designjet 600, 650, 700, 750, 755Print a Configuration, Service Configuration, or Service Print to verify the TCP/IP configuration:

1. With Status Ready to Plot on the display, press ENTER.
2. Repeatedly press the Down arrow button until Utilities appears.
4. Press ENTER.
   
5. Repeatedly press the Down arrow button until Service Config (HP Designjet 700 series printer) or Config Plot (HP Designjet 600 series printer) appears.
   
6. Press ENTER.
   
7. Use the Service Configuration or Configuration Plot to verify the IP parameters.

To print a Service Configuration page from an HP Designjet 2000/2500cp or 3000/3500cp

1. When the display window reads Status Ready, press the ENTER key once.
   
2. Press the Down arrow key until the display reads Utilities.
   
3. Press ENTER.
   
4. Press the Down arrow key until the display reads Service Print.
   
5. Press ENTER.
